Let’s Talk Euclid Chemical’s EUCO RE-COVER: Concrete surfaces are designed and constructed to last for decades. However, instances occur where the surface or top layer of cement paste deteriorates due to improper placement and finishing techniques, chemical attack, or a combination of factors that take place over the course of years. While the bulk of the concrete is structurally sound, the visible portion becomes aesthetically unpleasing. Tear-out and full replacement can be quite expensive. EUCO RE-COVER has arrived as an affordable solution to expensive replacement.
EUCO RE-COVER is a single component, cementitious overlay mortar fortified with Euclid Chemical’s Fiberstrand™ 150 polypropylene micro-fiber. Re-Cover mixes with clean, potable water to produce a resurfacing mortar that is similar to pancake batter in its consistency. Once thoroughly mixed, Re-Cover is applied to a properly prepared substrate by use of trowels, floats, gauge rakes, squeegees or by whatever means the contractor is comfortable with. Re-Cover is also perfect for vertical surfaces in need of a new appearance. The material can be applied vertically by use of a hopper gun and then finished as desired. Re-Cover provides a strong, freeze-thaw durable, aesthetically pleasing finish to concrete surfaces.
