Regular concrete with a broom finish is one of the oldest styles of concrete finishes. The broomed concrete finish is obtained by brooming the surface in the final stages with a concrete broom. Not all concrete warrants decorative coloring or patterning, although both can significantly embellish the look of the concrete surface as well as hide blemishes. Plain concrete is still a common surface selection, whether for economical reasons or a desire for just function.
